Our Artists

Louisa Yu

Louisa started tattooing 8 years ago in China. She was driven to learn all that she can from all the tattoo artists around her to further develop her skills in the Asian tattooing style. In the pursuance of her dream of learning from different artists, she jumped at the chance when she was invited to Canada as a guest tattoo artist. Her time in Canada opened her eyes to the incredible mix of different tattoo styles and techniques, which influenced her own art. The exposure to all the different possibilities in tattooing guided her decision to continue her tattooing journey in Canada where she can share her experience from her home country and continue to learn more about tattooing from other artists with different backgrounds.

Emily

At first Emily had never thought of becoming a tattoo artist as a career choice but a series of events led her down the path. When she missed the application deadline for art school in 2019, she had some free time while waiting for the next registration period and felt a bit bored with what’s going on in her life. She made an impulsive decision to get a tattoo and unfortunately, or well fortunately for her clients, that tattoo did not meet her expectations and so she thought “I can do a better tattoo”. And this thought jumpstarted her journey into becoming a tattoo artist. She proactively went and became an apprentice in tattooing. This was how she discovered her talent and love for creating beautiful permanent pieces for others and has never looked back.

Tony Hu

2009 was the beginning of Tony’s tattooing career. He was uncertain about becoming a tattoo artist at the start as there was a lack of readily available resources. Unlike nowadays where there’s easily accessible tutorials and videos online, he had to find different ways to learn. He attended tattoo conventions, bought a lot of tattoo equipment to try, and met a lot of different people to learn through their experiences and ask for advice. Even with all the effort he put into learning the art, he was still uncertain of his future in tattooing. He lacked clients and experience and had yet to make a name for himself. So he made the tough decision to return to school to study Animation. After a few years, he returned and picked up the tattooing machine again. It was a long struggle to improve his skills and accumulate recognition. He focused on the fundamentals and traditional style of art. There were countless hours of practicing drawing and tattooing, and with time came experience. Things started slowly picking up as he learned more and more but Tony still says he has much to learn even after all these years as a tattoo artist. He appreciates the support he gets from everyone and will continue to work hard to be worthy of all your support.

Tommy Guo

Tommy first stepped foot into the tattooing world back in 2012. It was when he was getting a tattoo for himself that he discovered an interest in the art and wanted to try producing beautiful pieces of permanent art pieces himself. Things did not come easy for Tommy and halfway through his studies to becoming a tattoo artist, he had to leave for a different job to support his family. During that time away, he worked hard to save up and practice his art and came back better equipped to put his all into this passion of his. He found a love for the Asian traditional arts and started designing such pieces for his clients. Even though he lacked a foundation when he first started, through his determination and continuous practice, he has developed his skills to become a well respected tattoo artist producing beautiful pieces for his clients. .

Andy Zhou

Andy started learning the art of tattooing back in 2016 when he had some free time while studying Animation at Sheridan College. His time in school helped him to build a solid foundation in his skills as an artist, supporting his confidence in producing amazing pieces for his clients. After graduating from his program, he fully threw himself into studying tattooing and found an interest in traditional and realism pieces. Since then, he has been continuously honing his skills in these two styles while producing countless incredible pieces.
